Tonight Belgium kicks off a very busy month filled with national selections for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. All events can be found in our calendar and esctoday.com will keep you up to date with the latest results of national selections and selected participants for this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest, taking place in Lillehammer.

Belgium

Tonight, the first of four Eurokids shows will be broadcast in Belgium. RTBF will introduce the 10 participants to Wallonia and will announce the running order. The semifinals are scheduled for 10th and 17th September. The final of Eurokids takes place on Sunday 26th September. The shows will be broadcast on RTBF's first channel La Une and on RTBF SAT, broadcast by satellite over the whole of Europe. As it looks now, videos of all performances will be published on the Eurokids website.

The Netherlands

Also in the Netherlands they start their search for a Junior representative this weekend. Tomorrow the introduction show of the Junior Songfestival will be broadcast. AVRO follows the same concept as Wallonia, with semifinals on 11th and 18th September and the final on 25th September. All shows are broadcast on Nederland 2.

United Kingdom

The first final this month is held by ITV tomorrow in the United Kingdom. ITV doesn't seem very interested in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After cancelling the organisation of the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Manchester, ITV also moved the national selection to their second channel ITV2 which isn't available for all Britons. ITV neither announced the names of the eight finalists.
