ATHENS – Sakis Rouvas shaked a bit too much during the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games. During his appearance he lost balance on the catwalk, one of his colleage singers helped him up again. With more energy than before, he heated up the audience. The lucky singer wasn't injured.
In many ways, the 2004 Olympic Games can be called a success. Without noteworthy incidents and with many great new television moments, the world enjoyed the biggest event of the world. Our correspondent, who is currently present in the Olympic Stadium, describes the athmosphere as 'magical'.
Marinella, the first singer who represented Greece at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Krassi, thalassa ke t'agori mou, opened the closing ceremony. Among the singers that appeared on stage were Alkistis Protopsalti, Anna Vissi (Greece 1980 – Autostop & Cyprus 1982 – Mono i agapi) and Eleftheria Arvanitaki, while Sakis Rouvas (Greece 2004 – Shake it) suprised us with a spectacular act (in many ways). Also Michalis Hajiyanni (Cyprus 1998 – Genesis) appeared!
