Irrespectively of the previous plans, Polish broadcaster TVP has made an official announcement on its website that the Polish representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen during an open competition, held on the 19th September.
Earlier TVP said that the Polish representative would be chosen among the winners of local youth festivals as it was assumed that children with a stage experience would be much more capable of coping with live performances.
However, the plans have been changed, and all the children from Poland, who have Polish citizenship or live in Poland for at least 2,5 years can submit their song till the 10th September, if it is written and recorded in Polish and does not last more than 3 minutes.
The voting procedure during the national final on 19th September will involve tele- and sms voting and a professional jury. Last years Polish representative Kasia Zurawik ended last and received only 3 points for her song Cos mnie nosi.
