The Olympic Games are almost over and will be closed tomorrow night with a musical spectacle. According to the Macedonian Press Agency, we can expect some Eurovision artists to put the crown on Athens' terrific organization.
Music composer and singer Dionisis Savvopoulos will allegedly be responsible for the coordination of the Athens Olympic Games closing ceremony. Marinella, the first singer who represented Greece at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Krassi, thalassa ke t'agori mou, will open the closing ceremony.
Among the singers to appear on the stage will be Alkistis Protopsalti, Anna Vissi (Greece 1980 – Autostop & Cyprus 1982 – Mono i agapi) and Eleftheria Arvanitaki, while Sakis Rouvas (Greece 2004 – Shake it) will be a guest star. Also Michalis Hajiyanni (Cyprus 1998 – Genesis) is said to appear.
The production of the closing ceremony is in the hands of Dimitris Papaioannou whose goal is to make the Olympic Games' closing ceremony a great celebration.
