Today and tomorrow, the 41st edition of the International Sopot Festival takes place in Poland. Since 1994, the Polish broadcaster TVP has been the only organizer of the festival. Starting from next year, it will be organised by private television station TVN.
The 41st International Festival, in which Eurovision Song Contest celebrities such as Edyta Gorniak, Alsou, Katrina and the Waves often performed, takes place today in Sopot at the Polish seaside.
This year, two festival evenings are planned at Sopot's Forest Opera: a concert entitled Time Flowing Like a River will be held-dedicated to the memory of a great Polish vocalist Czeslaw Niemen and later the performance of a popular singer Krzysztof Krawczyk, who is celebrating 40 years of artistic activity.
Tomorrow the two-part Vive la France! concert will feature Kate Ryan, In-Grid and Patricia Kaas performing their greatest hits.The festival will be aired internationally by TVP at 20:00 CET. Tune in for Justyna Steczkowska (Eurovision Song Contest 1995) and Piasek (Eurovision Song Contest 2001)!
