David D'Or, who represented Israel at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest (finishing 11th at the semi-final), might be leaving Israel for a long while, in favor of a new grandiose musical project in France.

David D'Or has been offered to be the main star of a new grandiose musical project, planned to be played on the stages of France and other countries. This project is a joint venture of Mark Lieberman, a french producer, and Kobi Oshrat who composed a few of Israel's entries to Eurovision, including Halleluja, the 1979 Eurovision winner.

D'Or's wife and manager, Pazit, commented to Ynet.co.il, saying: “this issue is still confidential, and we cannot elaborate at this stage”. If David D'Or does decide to accept the offer, he is expected to move to France for a long period of time.
