Katrina Leskanich, leadsinger of the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest winner Katrina and the Waves, is working on her first solo album. Two record labels are interested and a world wide release might follow.
“I am currently 'having talks' with two labels for a world wide release” says Katrina Leskanich about the long process to finally release some new work. Katrina has recently been in the studio recording some new songs with Phil Thornalley, who also worked with Natalie Imbruglia on her debut album.
Despite the set back on the new album, Katrina is having a remarkably busy summer with a lot of gigs, voice over work and her new project… Katrina is writing a book entitled Don't it feel good.
In 1997, Katrina and the Waves won the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin with the song Love shine a light. A year later in 1998 the band split.
