Our colleagues of Eurovision-Greece.com reported that the Cypriot broadcaster CyBC will select its 2004 junior participant using a national final format.

Last year, the Cypriot song was selected through an internal selection, but this time an open selection will be organised. It has not been decided yet how many songs will compete in the final.

A jury will evaluate the entries for the first time on 26 July, while the final has been scheduled for 13 September. More details can be expected after the weekend.

Last year, Theodora Raftis represented Cyprus at the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. With The wish, Cyprus reached the 14th position out of 16 participating countries.
