Maltese sisters Charlene & Natasha placed 5th at the Sunflower Festival 2004 held in Zrenjanin, Serbia on the weekend of 2nd to 4th July.
A very good placing for the Maltese sisters considering the tough competition. The girls made it through to the finals from a total of 40 entries. At the final they were placed 5th, following Italy (4th with D'Averna), Serbia (3rd with Zelimir), Romania (2nd with Michael Ro) and Bulgaria (winners with Karizma).
Among the participants of last year's Sunflower Festival there was Lisa Andreas who represented Cyprus during the last edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Andreas represented Great Britain at the Sunflower Festival 2003.
Charlene & Natasha competed with their latest Malta Song for Europe 2004 entry, A simple wish. Recently, the sisters were chosen by Eros Music Sa Greece to represent Malta in the European Union CD Compilation Your voice in Europe with the song Xita fid-Dezert (Desert Rain)
