After Sertab became a huge success in Israeli radio stations last year after her Eurovision victory, this year's winner, Ruslana of Ukraine, is no exception, but in a smaller scale.
In her second week in MTV 100FM radio station's chart, Ruslana is situated at the 18th position with Wild Dances. Belgium's Xandee is located at the 13th place with 1 Life, after spending a few weeks in the upper parts of the top 10 list.
The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv published this week a review of the new DVD release of the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest. The writer expressed his admiration for Ruslana saying: “Anyone who is looking for an artistic interest for the long run, should wait for Ruslana's full album, which is one of the best world-music albums in the recent years”. The words of praise continue as the writer adds: “Ruslana's album portrays the 2004 winner not only as the most 'non-Eurovisiony' winner ever, but as an updated version of Shakira and a secure candidate to be an international star. If you are looking for a single reason to purchase the Eurovision DVD, Ruslana's breakthrough moment must be it”, as Ma'ariv puts it.
