As the final of the Eurovision Song Contest takes place tonight, the security around the Abdi Ipekci arena increases.
The past weeks, the first security checkpoint was at the entrance of the parking area, with an x-ray security point. Today, it's impossible to come close to Abdi Ipekci, as the first checkpoint is now situated at the beginning of the street next to the arena. Cars are not allowed to pass the checkpoint without showing the accreditation cards, others have to take a different route. A few hundred meters further on the road to Abdi Ipekci there is another police checkpoint.
The number of visual present policemen also increased. It's clear that the organisation of this year's Eurovision Song Contest is doing everything to create a safe environement for everyone working in and around Abdi Ipekci arena.
