Of the 36 songs that will be performed in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, only two are in French. A good reason for Monaco and France to join hands together to organise a 'French' reception in Istanbul.
On 10th May, Monaco and France will organise a reception in Istanbul together. Maryon and Jonatan Cerrada are the only two ambassadors of the french language this year. That's why the monacan and french delegation decided to organise a common reception in a luxurious restaurant in Istanbul.
Both singers will perform an unplugged version of their songs Notre planète and A chaque pas and some other 2004 participants were invited to perform as well. The little showcase will be hosted by Marie Myriam, the last one to win the Eurovision Song Contest for France back in 1977.
Whereas Maryon still has to survive the qualifier round, Jonatan Cerrada is directly qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 15th May in Istanbul.
