A reliable source has revealed to us a few details about the planned party of the Israeli delegation to Eurovision, on May 10th.
The Israeli party will take place on May 10th inside a big television studio on the grounds of the Turkish broadcaster Kanal D. The place can hold up to a 1,000 people at once. Transportation to event will be leaving from central locations in Istanbul as the Abdi Ipekci stadium, official hotels and from Taksim squere. Israel's entrant, David D'Or will perform, as well as a few other artists from this year's contest. Another performance planned for the night, and is still to be finalized, is of the 1998 Eurovision winner, Dana International. The party will also include a special contest, in which 5 guests will perform songs from Israel's repertoire in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The whole event will be televised on one of Turkey's commercial stations, and possibly be broadcasted live on IBA's satellite channel, Channel 33.
It has also been brought to our knowledge that DJ Chezy Shayer of Israel will again be taking the post of the leading DJ in the official Euroclub, which is the official night club for all delegations and accredited personnel. DJ Shayer is a dedicated Eurovision fan as well as a journalist in one of Israel's entertainment magazines. He was the Euroclub's DJ in the recent 3 contests and during these times the only music which was played in the clubs was, not surprisingly, only Eurovision music.
