While the preparations for the upcoming contest are in a final stage, former song contest participants try other ways to start a career in music. Boris Titulaer, who participated to the qualifier rounds of last year's Dutch Nationaal Songfestival with She would, won the final of Idols 2004.
Under his artist name Sofuja (soul, funk and jazz) Boris sang She would with Glenn Corneille for the 2003 Dutch national Eurovision Song Contest selection, but failed to qualify for the final. Esther Hart and the Mango Nuts received a final ticket in the same qualifier round as Boris. FInally, Esther Hart represented the Netherlands last year with One more night.
The 23-year old Boris won the Dutch final of Idols from Maud and 16,730 other participants. You can listen to Boris' 2003 national selection entry by clicking here.
