Aleksandra & Konstantin have finished their preparations for the first Belarussian entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. The website Eurovision Kazachstan wrote that.

Aleksandra Kirsanova and Konstantin Drapezo, or Aleksandra & Konstantin when on stage, said in an interview to Ekspress Novosti that the preparations for the upcoming contest are almost completed. Ivan Aiplatov, the costume designer, reveals that the costumes will be European with some elements of folk. Aleksandra and Konstantin are very impatient at the moment because it has been a long way to Istanbul. The song My Galileo was penned already two years ago and kept in a drawer for a very special occasion. Aleksandra and Konstantin think that this song is made for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Belarus sings in the qualifier round of the Eurovision Song Contest on 12th May. Currently, Belarus is ranked 6th in the esctoday.com BigPoll prediction. If the esctoday.com members are right, Belarus will have no problems going onto the final.

As an aside, Belarus are not total newcomers to the Eurovision. Ten-year-old Volha Satsuk took the first Belarussian steps on the Eurovision stage when in November of last year she represented the country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
