90 songs were sent to Estonian final Eurolaul 2002, which is a new record.
“I didn't expect that a victory last year would create such an effect”, sayed Juhan Paadam, the main coordinator of ESC 2002. This is a record for Estonian final. Previous record, 80 songs, is from 2001.
“The fact that the number of songs has increased shows clearly how popular Eurovision is”, mentioned Paadam.
On Thursday, December 6th, the jury will gather to choose 10 songs, which will compete in a final.
Those 10 songs will be announced on Saturday. The final will take place on January 26th in City Concerthall of Tallinn.
