476 entries were submitted to the Finnish preselection by the deadline, November 9th. The number of submitted entries is a new record for the Finnish broadcaster.

An international jury will select 10 to 12 songs at November 29, which will appear in the Finnish final on January 26.

In the past years, Finland didn't managed to end up high. That's why YLE decided to select an international jury. The same system was used last year in Estonia, which had (as we all know), good results.
