During the 8th final of You're a star, the Irish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, the last female in the race has been eliminated by the public. Jean Elliot became third with Summer rain, which means next week's final is a two-men batlle.

THe 23-year old Chris Doran and the 32-year old James Kilbane are now the two options for Ireland to send to the Eurovision Song Contest. Both are to perform a ballad in the final. Chris Doran will sing If the world stops turning written by Westlife singer Brian McFadden, James Kilbane sings Losing you written by Charlie McGettigan, who won the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest together with Paul Harrington and their song Rock 'n roll kids.
