The viewing figures and the popularity of the third edition of Operación Triunfo were lower than during previous editions. Thus, the Spanish broadcaster TVÉ doubts about continuing the show in 2004-2005. In May, TVÉ and Gestmusic will discuss if Operación Triunfo continues in 2005-2006.
For the national selection of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, TVÉ is negotiating with Gestmusic about the production of a show with multiple selections.
