The next step after sending a girlie-duo for Eurovision 2003 would be to send a boy-duo for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest! There are unconfirmed reports saying that the Russian 2004 Eurovision entry will be sung by the male duo Smash!!, which appears to be gossip for now…

In the meantime, esctoday.com had contact with the Russian broadcaster ORTV and OGAE Russia and it appeared that there are many possible participants, and that SMASH!! is indeed one of them. There is no sign that they are indeed selected, ORTV will let us know as soon as the participant for Russia has been chosen.

According to Universal Music Russia, Vlad and Sergey became stars when they were very young and their friendship started from the first minute they saw each other.

Determined to become world's superstars, these boys seem to really have what it takes to reach the top. Young, with extraordinary voices and charming – they also look so complete together.

When asked what is the longest period they've gone without talking to each other, they seem hesitant: “I don't know! 2 hours?”, Vlad says.

Smash!!'s first appearance on air and TV (April 2002) became a real burst in the music industry. Their hit Should Have Loved You More, which was filmed same January in Thailand was loved by everyone from school kids to respected producers, and the boys themselves couldn't find time to get rid of offers to play on different occasions.

In the midsummer Smash!! participated in “New Wave” young performers' contest in Yurmala, where they became winners. After such a success the video of their earlier hit Belle, a cover from the Musical Notre Dame de Paris stayed on top of MTV Russia chart for a few weeks.

In September it was decided to release Belle as a single, and simultaneously the official fan club was organised by thousands of fans from Russia as well as C.I.S. countries.

The boys have now finished working on their debut album, recorded in the best studios of London, Paris, NY and LA. Even with such tight schedule – concerts, school, Sergey's theatral job, – they consider this record to be the main goal. But they never forget about their fans!

Recently their first solo concert took place in St Petersbug Hollywood Nights club. Vlad and Sergey sang 12 songs, most of which would appear on Smash!! first album.
