Re-union won the Dutch national selection for the 49th Eurovision Song Contest! The jury chose for Re-union with Without you, the televoter chose Heart of stone performed by Anja Wessels. After all, it was Re-union that got the most points!

More than 200,000 people voted to select the winner of the Dutch national final. After four semifinals, a wildcard round and the final, it was the Dutch-Flemish duo Re-union that got the highest number of votes (108). At the Dutch country page you can find the total ranking.

Instead of last year, when both televoters as well as the jury selected Esther Hart, the televoters' first choice was Anja Wessels. The jury gave the maximum amount of points to Paul and Fabrizio of Re-union. The writers of the song, Ed and Angeline van Otterdijk, received the bronze Muze award.

Anja Wessels ended up second with 82 points and was the televoters favorite. Judith, with Love me, became third. A strange co-incidence is the amount of votes Babette Labeij got from the televoter… while she won the first semifinal together with Re-union, she only got 1,3 percent of the votes and thus ended last at the televoting.
