That the 23-year old Tose Proeski was selected to represent FYR Macedonia in Istanbul, was already known for a few months. Last night, FYR Macedonia selected the song he will sing at the 49th Eurovision Song Contest.
Out of eight songs, televoters and a jury selected Angel si ti. With 256 points the song was the most popular one, leaving the second placed song Daleku od mene far behind with 183 points.
An English version of the song appeared to be available, Eurovision Song Contest watchers expect that the country will sing in English at the contest.
