After six semifinals of Eurovizijos dainu konkursas 2004, the televoting audience selected Linas & Simona to represent Lithuania at the 49th Eurovision Song Contest with the song What's happened to your love.
Linas & Simona won the fifth heat of the Lithuanian selection and survived the enormous popularity of Amberlife, who was tipped as winner on forehand. Broadcaster LRT received 10,219 votes during the fifth heat for Amberlife, which was more than the other participating songs together during that heat.
Ruta Dèiogolovaite ended up second with Over, Amberlife became third with In your eyes.
70 songs were submitted for the Lithuania selection, a selection committee selected 54 songs for six semifinals.
