Tomas Thordarson and the song Si' det' løgn have supremely won the Danish preselection. He will thus represent the country in this year's Eurovision Song Contest in May.
It was expected by some that the pop duo Zididada, with several hits in the Danish music charts in the past, would run off with the victory, but with 14 points ahead of Zididada when the final vote had been announced the voters' pet was clearly Tomas Thordarson and his Latino song Si' det' løgn (Say it's a lie).
All in all ten songs competed in the Danish final. After they had all been performed, a preliminary televoting selected five entries to go on to a second voting. The remaining four songs in the second final arrived as follows:
2nd: Prinsesse (Princess) – Zidididada (46 points)
3rd: Solens sang (Song of the sun) – Neighbours (40 points)
4th: Hvor end du går hen (Wherever you go) – Ditlev (28 points)
5th: Mest når det er regn (Mostly when it rains) – Petsi Tvørfoss (26 points)
Denmark is one of this year's indirect participants in the Eurovision, which means they must first pass the qualification round on 12th May before perhaps going on to the grand final on 15th.
