After an unannounced postponement yesterday, the Greek broadcaster ERT aired tonight the 10th episode of EuroStar, the talent show that will select the Greek performer in Istanbul.
Eurostar is currently at the stage where 36 finalists are narrowed down to 18. These were divided into 3 groups of 12 contestants. Each group is assessed over two heats, one consisting of six girls and one consisting of six boys. The top six contestants from each group win a place in the next phase.
In the 10th episode, it was time for the six girls of the 3rd group to compete against each other. The results were as follows:
1st. Chrysanthi Michalopoulou, 62/80
(performed Simera (Today) by Despoina Vandi)
2nd. Maria Roumatza, 59/80
(performed Etsi einai oi scheseis (Thats how relationships are) by Iro)
3rd. Ghogho Vagena, 58/80
(performed Torn by Ednaswap/Trine Rein/ Lis Sorenson/ Nathalie Imbruglia)
4th. Cassandra Dimopoulou, 27/80
(performed Hunter by Dido)
5th. Roula Saravakou, 26/80
(performed Dystyhos (Unfortunately) by Peggy Zena)
6th. Katerina Gontika, 21/80
(performed Meine mazi mou (Stay with me) by Irene Merkouri)
It remains to be seen how the boys of the 3rd group will do in the next episode, but it looks highly possible that Chrysanthi, Maria and Ghogho are all going to the next round. Their scores are some of the highest given so far by the Eurostar jury.
