Maltasong's committee positevely surprised everyone on Thursday 8th January, when a permission was granted to all participants to perform their entry for the Malta Song for Europe 2004. It was also announced that the national final's big night will be held on St. Valentine's day, on February 14th at MCC, Valletta. Another night open for the general public will be held on the eve of the national final, February 13th.

Meanwhile, the Maltasong committee issued a statement saying that as from Thursday 8th January, Malta Song for Europe 2004 finalists will appear and perform their respective songs on four main TV-shows, namely Mill-Box – TVM, Is-Sibt – TVM, Siesta – NET TV and Kalamita – SUPER ONE TV.

Here is a schedule of the planned appearances by Malta Song for Europe 2004 finalists. (Last minute changes to the following schedule can happen without prior notice):

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting from Jan 8th, participants will be guests, one at a time, of the daily afternoon show Kalamita, hosted by Alfred Zammit and aired on SUPER ONE TV at 13:45 – 17:00 CET.

On the same days, participants will be guests, again one at a time, of the daily afternoon show Siesta, hosted by Clare Agius and aired on NET TV at 14:05 – 15:15 CET.

On Wednesdays, starting from Jan 14th, Valerie Vella will host a special edition of her daily evening show Mill-Box, solely dedicated to the Malta Song for Europe 2004 participants. Mill-Box is aired on TVM at 18:10 – 19:15 CET.

On Saturdays, starting from Jan 10th, 4 participants at a time will be the special guests of the weekly Saturday afternoon show Is-Sibtx, hosted by Ray Calleja and Marbeck Spiteri. Is-Sibt is aired on TVM at 14:00 – 18:00 CET. A special edition of Is-Sibt, featuring all participants, will be aired on Saturday 7th February.
