TRM, the Moldovan national broadcaster, has opened the song submission window for the 2026 Moldovan national selection- Selectia Nationala and has published the rules and regulations for the competition.
Moldova will be yet again opting for a national selection in order to determine its Eurovision 2026 act and entry. The song submission window for Selectia Nationala 2026 will run from 7 November – 7 December 2025.

Moldova is back in the game after a year’s absence.TRM has appointed two official producers of the contest – Serghei Orlov and Roman Burlaca, who will coordinate the selection process, evaluate the submitted songs and establish the list of finalists. Subsequently, the producers will guide the participants in the process of preparing for the National Final and for their Eurovision participation.
The 2026 Moldovan national final is scheduled to be be held at the Chisinau Arena on Saturday 17th January.
Moldova in Eurovision
Moldova debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with Zdob si Zdub and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result in the competition in 2017 when Sunstroke Project placed 3rd in the Grand Final in Kyiv with their entry Hey Mamma!
Moldova has been competing in religiously every year in Europe’s favourite television show since their debut in 2005, namely the country has partaken in the contest 19 times. In 2025 the country withdrew from the contest after having confirmed its participation and organizing a national selection.
In 2024 Natalia Barbu represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with her entry ‘In The Middle’.
