DR, the Danish national broadcaster, has unveiled the DMGP 2026 hosts.
Sara Bro and actor Alex Høgh Andersen will have the grand honour of hosting the 2026 Danish national final- Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. DMGP 2026 is scheduled to be held on Saturday 14th February at Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
Saro Bro will be hosting the Danish national final for the third time, whilst Alex Hogh Andersen will be hosting the competition for the very first time.
Tickets for the event will go on sale on 7th November 2025.
Alex Hogh Andersen says:
I don’t think it’s really dawned on me yet. It’s a clichéd answer, but it’s good enough. It’ll probably only hit me when I’m standing next to Sara at the dress rehearsal and looking out over Arena Nord. I am very excited and a little nervous, but first and foremost I am grateful for the opportunity and am looking forward to challenging myself on a personal level.
Alex Hog Andersen adds:
This evening is not about Sara and me. We are there to make sure it is a good party. A party that celebrates love, togetherness, music and art, and that brings people together. A love party is exactly what we need at the moment with all the division happening in the world, says Alex Høgh Andersen, who will be hosting the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026.
Sara Bro says:
It feels fantastic to be allowed to do this three times in a row, especially because it is a fantastic, magical dream world with some incredibly lovely and sweet Grand Prix fans. Once you step through the door, you are part of a huge, lovely family that you can meet in all sorts of places. I am very proud to be part of it again, says Sara Bro ahead of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026.
Sara Bro adds:
We create joy through this show, and for the fans it is in many ways like Christmas Eve. It is magical to be allowed to create such a moment in people’s lives. It is a large community where you are a member of the club all year round. A club where we like glitter, being a little extra and just living your authentic self.
