RTCG, the Montenegrin national broadcaster, has opened the song submission for Montesong 2025. 

The winner of Montesong 2025 will be awarded the golden ticket to represent Montenegro at the 2026 Eurovision. Montenegro will be selecting its Eurovision act and entry via Montesong for the second consecutive year.

RTCG has opened the song submission period for Montesong 2025 with the deadline set on 3rd October 2025.

Singers, composers and authors can submit their entries to RTCG via email or via the RTCG Archive. Along with the final version of the songs singers, composers are required to submit their their respective

Hereafter a special expert jury will select the finalists for the Montenegrin national final- Montesong 2025, the exact date of the live televised show is yet to be determined. The show will be broadcast live on all RTCG platforms.

How to apply

The organizers emphasize that it is important for all interested authors and performers to carefully read the competition text before submitting an application. Here are just some of the most important rules:

  • The composition must be original and must not have been publicly published or performed before September 1, 2025.
  • The maximum song duration is 3 minutes.
  • The application must contain: an audio recording of the song, lyrics, a biography of the performer and basic information about the authors.
  • Authors and performers must be citizens of Montenegro, or the team must have at least one member with Montenegrin citizenship.
  • Complete documentation is delivered physically to the RTCG address, in accordance with the technical and procedural conditions specified in the competition.
