ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will be officially revealing the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Host City tomorrow, Wednesday 20th August.
ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, is working round the clock in order to showcase an extraordinary show come May. Preparations for ESC 2026 are in full swing in Austria, as the Austrian national final is working from strength to strength to organize an iconic 70th Eurovision edition.
Two cities are in the final leg of the Eurovision 2026 Host City race: Innsbruck and Vienna. The cat will be out of the bag tomorrow Wednesday 20th August circa 08:15 CET.
ORF’s General Director Mr.Roland Weißmann will make the official announcement on Ö3 Wecker Radio, ORF’s Good Morning Austria show on ORF 2 and via the official ESC YouTube Channel at 08:15 CET. The Ö3 alarm clock team will be reporting live from the 2 potential host cites: Gabi Hiller will report in the morning from the majestic city of Innsbruck, whilst Philipp Hansa will be reporting from the capital of Austria, Vienna.
ORF and the EBU will be also confirming the dates for the 2026 ESC edition either: 12, 14 and 16 May or 19, 21 and 23 May.
Innsbruck is bidding to host the ESC 2026 at the Olympia Halle with the slogan ‘Together On Top‘, whilst Vienna is bidding to host ESC 2026 at the Wiener Stadthalle and the slogan ‘Europe, Shall We Dance?’
Austria and ORF will have the grand honour of hosting the 70th Eurovision Song Contest thanks to JJ’s epic victory in Basel this year.
