RTL Luxembourg, the Luxembourgish national broadcaster, has opened the song submission for the forthcoming Luxembourgish nationa final- Luxembourg Song Contest 2026.
The song submission window for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 is open as of today with the deadline set on 21 September 2025. The 2026 Luxembourgish national final will be held on Saturday 24 January at Rockhal, Luxembourg.
Live auditions for the potential candiates will be held in Luxembourg in October in front of an international jury pannel. Hereafter the jury will deliberate the lucky competing finalists for the Luxembourgish national final, the names of the lucky finalists will be unveiled at the end of October.
There will be three different ways for artists and composers to submit their entries/ applications:
- Arist with song and project ( deadline 21/09/2025)
- Artist without song/project – Team Up List (registration deadline 03/08/2025)
- Songwriter without artist- Team Up List (registration deadline 03/08/2025)

Call for entries – Luxembourg Song Contest Let’s go!
Registration is now open to find the candidates for the LSC 2026. Artists hoping to perform on the Rockhal stage during the third edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest can submit their applications from Friday, 04.07.2025 via www.eurovision.lu.
Since Luxembourg’s return to Eurovision in 2024, the Luxembourg Song Contest has served as the national final during which the Luxembourgish representative for the Eurovision Song Contest in May is determined. Audition registration open until 21.09.2025.
As in the previous year, artists can directly submit their songs for the LSC auditions. To be eligible, the artist must be of Luxembourgish nationality, or have resided in the Grand Duchy for three consecutive years, or demonstrate a strong connection to the Luxembourg music scene.
They must be at least 18 years old by 24.01.2026, and be widely available between November 2025 and May 2026 for LSC/ESC preparation and promotion. Additionnally, they must be capable of performing on a large stage.
Each artist may submit up to three songs or projects. The term “project” is interpreted broadly, allowing for diverse musical concepts, including those initiated by DJs or other musicians. Please note that every song must feature a live singing component.
Songs/projects must bo no longer than 3 minutes in length and must not have been released or publicly performed before 01.09.2025. They can be in any language but cannot feature more than six people on stage. The deadline for audition registration is: 21.09.2025 at midnight.The auditions will take place in October 2025 in front of an international jury of Eurovision experts and the finalists will be revealed at the end of October.

Team-up list registration open until 03.08.2025 This year, an additional opportunity is available for artists and composers looking to create new musical connections for the LSC/ESC. A team-up list is open for Luxembourgish artists who want to connect with national and/or international songwriters. Likewise, songwriters can register to get in touch with Luxembourgish
artists. The deadline for contact list registration is: 03.08.2025 at midnight.The contact details of registered artists will be shared with songwriters, and vice versa. Contact is established directly between artists and songwriters; RTL will not be involved in this stage. Songs resulting from these new collaborations can be submitted to the auditions by the artist through the regular registration process until 21.09.2025.
Eligible artists may participate in both stages: an artist who already has songs can also register on the team-up list to connect with new local or/and international songwriters.
Luxembourg at Eurovision
Luxembourg is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest and has won the competition five times. In 2024 the Grand Duchy returned to the contest after a 30 year hiatus. In 2025 Laura Thorn represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest with her entry ‘ La Poupee Monte Le Son’.
