Westlife star and Eurovision alumnus Nicky Byrne will deliver Ireland’s jury points during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
Nicky Byrne first took on the role of Ireland’s Eurovision spokesperson in 2013 and continued in 2014, and 2015. In 2016, he was internally selected by Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ, to represent the country with the song Sunlight, which he co-wrote with Ronan Hardiman and Wayne Hector. Despite a spirited performance, Byrne did not advance to the final, placing 15th in the second semi-final with 46 points.
Following his participation as a contestant, Byrne returned to the spokesperson role in 2017 and 2018, delivering Ireland’s jury points during the Grand Final.
