For the fifth year in a row, Spanish National Radio (RNE) is dedicating the entire Eurovision week to the song contest, with live coverage from Basel, exclusive reports, and a special Grand Final broadcast airing for the first time on shortwave via Radio Exterior.

David Asensio, Luis Miguel Montes, and Sara Calvo will be reporting from Switzerland throughout the week, bringing behind-the-scenes stories, rehearsal updates, and all the latest on Spain’s entry, Melody, to listeners back home.

Special Eurovision content will feature across RNE’s top shows, including Las mañanas, Las tardes, Puede ser peor, and No es un día cualquiera. Other RNE stations will also join in, such as Radio 3’s Hoy empieza todo, Radio 4’s Xavifòrnia, Radio 5’s Más cerca, and Radio Exterior’s La cresta de la onda.

Special Grand Final broadcast

On 17 May, from 21:00 to 02:00 CET, RNE will air a Eurovision Grand Final special hosted by David Asensio, alongside Sara Calvo, Luis Miguel Montes, and the Puede ser peor team. The show will be broadcast from both Basel and Madrid, and for the first time ever, also on shortwave via Radio Exterior.

Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, with the semi-finals on 13 and 15 May, and the Grand Final on 17 May. Spain will be represented by Melody with ESA DIVA.
