Hello Europe, this is Basel calling! It’s an exciting day in the Eurovision world today, the 2025 Eurovision Turquoise Carpet is scheduled to be held at iconic Basel Messe in the heart of Basel.
Basel is all set to go Turquoise specially for Eurovision, as the Red Carpet will be transformed into the Turquoise Carpet thanks to Morrocanoil, the official presenting partner for Eurovision 2025.

Turquoise Carpet
Instead of a traditional Red Carpet, the organization has opted for a refreshingly different approach that fits the City of Basel and the Eurovision Song Contest. The 37 competing acts and their delegations, EBU and SSR-SRG officials will be welcomed on the Turquoise Carpet.
The 2025 Turquoise Carpet will see the 37 competing acts will walk from the iconic Basel Rathaus (City Hall) through to the Market Square, they will then board vintage trams that will transport them to the Basel Messe. They will be accompanied by a grand line up of entetainers and performers as they make their way to Basel Messe, namely to the grand Eurovision Village stage where an audience will be awaiting.
What will happen during the Turquoise Carpet and Opening Ceremony?
The 37 competing acts from the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be arriving at the Turquoise Carpet all dressed up for the special occasion.
During the Turquoise event, competing acts at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be able to meet and greet the assembled press. The 2025 Eurovision hopefuls will be seen in their best attire and designer outfits.

At the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Basel and officials from SRG-SSR and the City of Basel will officially welcome the 2025 Eurovision participating countries, delegations and artists to Basel.
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be held at the St.Jakobashalle in Basel on 13, 15 and 17 May.
