The BBC has revealed a packed schedule of Eurovision-themed programming for 2025, with exclusive interviews, live commentary and special events across BBC One, iPlayer and BBC Radio 2.
As the United Kingdom‘s Remember Monday gear up to perform What the hell just happened? in Basel, the national broadcaster is promising an all-out celebration of music and British talent.
Graham Norton meets Remember Monday
The Eurovision week kicks off with Eurovision 2025: When Graham Met Remember Monday, airing on Friday 9 May at 22:40 CET on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. In this special one-off episode, Graham Norton sits down with the UK’s representatives — Charlotte, Holly and Lauren — for a candid conversation about their Eurovision journey so far.
Semi-Finals: the road to the Grand Final
The action from Basel begins with the Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Finals, airing on Tuesday 13 May and Thursday 15 May at 20:00 CET on BBC One and iPlayer. Live commentary will be provided by Rylan and Scott Mills, as 37 countries compete for a coveted spot in the Grand Final.
The UK’s Remember Monday will take to the stage during the second Semi-Final, but as member of the Big 5 they will enter the competition only in the Grand Final.
Grand Final and Doctor Who crossover
The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Grand Final will be broadcast live on Saturday 17 May at 21:00 CET, with Graham Norton returning to lead the UK’s coverage. Hosting duties in Basel will be shared by Swiss presenters Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer, as 26 nations battle for the title.
The evening will also feature a Eurovision-themed episode of Doctor Who titled The interstellar song contest. Starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, and featuring guest appearances by Freddie Fox and Miriam-Teak Lee, the episode will showcase a cosmic competition hosted by none other than Rylan. This marks the first official Eurovision crossover for the long-running science fiction series.
BBC Radio 2 goes Eurovision
BBC Radio 2 will serve as the UK’s official radio home for this year’s contest. Scott Mills and Rylan will provide live radio commentary of the Grand Final on Saturday 17 May, in addition to their television duties.
Semi-Final coverage on Radio 2 will be handled by Sara Cox and Richie Anderson, while Scott Mills’ Breakfast Show will broadcast live from Basel every weekday from Monday 12 May to Friday 16 May, bringing the latest news and exclusive interviews.
Saturday 17 May will be a full day of Eurovision celebrations on Radio 2, with Michelle Visage hosting Your ultimate 21st century Eurovision song, a countdown of the UK’s 40 most loved entries since 2000. Fans can expect behind-the-scenes stories, listener memories and a full day of Eurovision music mania.
Additional programming will be announced in the coming days. Audiences can expect extended Eurovision coverage across digital platforms, with more surprises leading up to the Grand Final in Basel.
