Radio presenter Manu Van Acker, best friend of Belgian act Red Sebastian, will reveal Belgium’s points during the Eurovision Song Contest final on 17 May. He’ll also help rally national support for the entry Strobe lights in the lead-up to the contest.
VRT News confirmed that Manu Van Acker will announce the country’s points live to an audience of around 200 million people. He found out the news during a surprise moment on MNM, when colleagues Sander Gillis and Imane Boudadi tricked him into reading a Eurovision-themed script.

A rising star and lifelong friend
Manu Van Acker is a presenter on MNM, known for MNM Ochtendshow, Club Kawtar, and De vrijdag is van ons (Friday is ours) (Fridays, 16:00–19:00 CET). He’s also appeared in Nonkels, De slimste mens ter wereld, and De Warmste Week. Earlier this year, he won the Kastaar for Breakthrough of the Year.
His connection to Red Sebastian is special, as they’ve been inseparable ever since childhood.

Van Acker will remain in Belgium, using his radio show Friday is ours to encourage fans to support Strobe lights, and maybe help his best friend win it all.
Red Sebastian will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, performing on the first semi-final, 13 May 2025.
