SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, will be broadcasting a special show ‘Forfest Eurovision’ avant the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final.

SVT and Sweden are gearing up in full steam for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Basel and has prepared a special show to precede the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final.

‘Forfest Eurovision’ will be hosted by Torbjörn Averås Skorup and will be broadcast at 20:00 CET on SVT 1. The show will feature special guests and check out who are KAJ’s biggest contenders at the Eurovision Song Contest. SVT travels to KAJ’s hometown to bring the Swedish audience one step closer to the 2025 Swedish Eurovision hopefuls.

Tobjorn Averas Skorup says:

It feels wonderful to be able to give a message to everyone in Sweden who is wondering “can’t we make the far too long Eurovision night a little longer?!”. Yes, we can! The pre-party will be a perfect recharge for, I hope, KAJ’s final sauna in Basel. As a viewer, you will get to know what happened in the semi-finals, get to know KAJ closer and get to know the entries that are fighting for both first place and the hearts of the audience. I would have preferred to broadcast from the sauna of the bathhouse, but the manager there firmly said no – because then there wouldn’t be room for all our fine guests.

SVT’s official press release reads:

The Eurovision Song Contest’s Grand final night on May 17th begins with Förfest Eurovision together with Torbjörn Averås Skorup and guests. Which countries are at the top of the betting lists, which entries will surprise and who are the biggest talking points ahead of tonight’s final from Basel in Switzerland? We also get to go to KAJ’s home town of Vörå where we meet up with the group before their departure to Basel and Eurovision.

Eric Stern , whom viewers could see in connection with the Melodifestivalen pre- and after-party program last winter, has traveled to Vörå to understand who KAJ really are. Where do they come from, who are they and what is their home region in Ostrobothnia like? We meet KAJ before their departure to Basel and get to join them at one of their gigs in the area.
