What an expected turn of events this morning in Switzerland! Just this morning rumours were circulating about possible names and the possibility of Switzerland to sing in Swiss-German for the very first time. But this was before the official announcement: Zoë Më will fly the Swiss flag in Basel.

24 year-old singer Zoë Më from Fribourg will represent this year’s host country at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. Her song will be revealed on Monday 10 March 2025 at 10:00 CET, together with the music video. Swiss-German broadcaster SRF announced it today on its website.

The singer and songwriter sings in German and French and won awards such as “SRF 3 Best Talent” in 2024.

Zoë Më will be perform at the Eurovision Grand Final on Saturday 17 May 2025.

Switzerland at Eurovision 2025

As host country Switzerland is directly qualified to the Grand Final of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday 17 May 2025 in Basel. The city in the North-West of Switzerland has won the internal selection to host the 69th Eurovision defeating fellow cities Zurich, Geneva and Bern-Biel. St. Jakobshalle is the venue chosen to host this year’s event.
