Crash boom bang! Preparations for Eurovision 2025 are well underway in Switzerland, and not only in Basel. Swiss-German broadcaster has revealed the date for the act and song reveal. Engines are almost ready in the host country!
It took 36 years, but here we are again. After 1956 and 1989 the Eurovision circus will halt again in Switzerland for the third time in the history of the contest. The Alpine nation won the trophy last year in Malmö, Sweden with Nemo and their The code. The first non-binary winner of the Eurovision Song Contest has brought the crystal microphone home. It is in Basel in the North-West of Switzerland that the 69th Eurovision will take place on 13, 15 and 17 May 2025.
An internal selection
Today Swiss-German broadcaster SRF has revealed that the act and song representing Switzerland on home soil will be published on Monday 10 March 2025 at 10:00 CET. During an open submission window SRF received 431 songs vying to represent Switzerland at Eurovision 2o25.
As reignign and host country, Switzerland is directly qualified for the Grand Final on Saturday 17 May 2025.
