RTE, the Irish national broadcaster, has unveiled the third Eurosong 2025 competing act today.
Adgy will be competing at the forthcoming Irish national final- Eurosong 2025 with his entry Run into the night. A total of 6 acts will be battling for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2025 at Eurosong 2025, which is scheduled to be held on Friday 7 February on the Late Late Show.
The Late Late Eurosong Special will be the show that will determine the Irish Eurovision act and entry. The 6 competing songs at Eurosong 2025 will be premiered this week on The Ray D’Arcy Show on RTE Radio 1.
RTE’s official press relase reads:
Adgy is making a bold return with a fresh sound and a mission to represent Ireland at this year’s Eurovision, which will take place in Basel, Switzerland, next May.
His new single, Run into the Night, is a Celtic pop anthem written by Adgy and produced by Eurovision legend Ivan Klymenko (Kalush – Stefania, the 2022 winner).
The Donegal-born singer-songwriter performed on Eurosong 2023 with his track Too Good For Your Love, and since then has taken some time to develop his music and grow as an artist.
After Eurosong 2023, he went traveling and eventually made his way back to London, where he has been writing music for the past year.
A prolific songwriter with over 12 million streams, a deal with Universal Music Group, and a publishing deal with Spirit BMG under his belt, Adgy draws inspiration from his roots in the Donegal Gaeltacht.
The remaining Eurosong 2025 competing acts will be unveiled on 23 and 24 January.
