ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster has announced today that it has received a total of 174 entries for Eesti Laul 2025.

A total of 175 songs were submitted to the Estonian national broadcaster for the forthcoming Estonian national final- Eesti Laul 2025. 65  songs were submitted in Estonian whilst 110 songs in foreign languages (English, Italian and German):

Karmel Kilandi (ERR Head of Programs) says:

We welcome all artists to the competition, this year’s Eesti Laul is more international than ever. I am especially happy that there are talented young artists among the contestants, as well as famous artists. We still hope, that this competition lays the foundation for a stage career at home or flies to the top in the world. It is certain that the music scene is richer by 175 songs, and that’s why we do this competition!

Rinn Vann ( Eesti Laul 2025 Producer) says:

This year’s Eesti Laul proves that music knows no borders and Eesti Laul is a valued platform abroad as well. We take it as recognition that Estonian Song has its place on the international scene.

Rinn Vann has also revealed that many composers from abroad have sent in entries to the competition, namely from Spain, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, UK, Malta, Austria, Norway,USA, Turkey and Germany.

Now a special expert jury will evaluate all the submitted entries and shorlist them to 15 songs, a 16th song will be selected via the Estonian public.The 35-member jury evaluates the songs anonymously, without knowing the artist and songwriter.

ERR will publish the names of the 15 lucky competing acts at the beginning of November, whilst the songs will be published on 6 December. The 16th act will be announced at the beginning of January.

The Estonian national final is scheduled to on Saturday 15 February 2024.

The 2025 Estonian Eurovision entry and act will be determined via a 100% televoting deliberation during the Super-final after the three superfinalists are be determined after a combined jury/public voting deliberation
