Due to money shortage Poland's national final will not take place in the outdoor Torwar Arena as reported earlier. Other news from Poland is that one of the songs submitted for the national final is facing disqualification.

Broadcasting from Torwar Arena would be too expensive for Telewizja Polska (TVP). In next year's budget, much money for entertainment will be used for sport events, for example Euro 2004 in Portugal and the Olympic Games in Athens. Krajowe Eliminacje do Konkursu Piosenki Eurowizji 2004, or 'national final' to use an easier-to-understand term, will be aired from a TV studio, just like the 2003 final.

Kowalski's song for the final, Sen Kowalskiego (Kowalski's Dream), faces disqualification because its video was published in August, whereas the rules of TVP say a song cannot be made public before 10th November, 2003. When the song is disqualified, it will be replaced with Varius Manx' song because it finished 16th in the preselection round. Varius Manx also participated in last year's Polish national final. TVP will decide about the case by the end of this week.
