Jóhanna Jóhannsdóttir, the domestic correspondent at the Icelandic broadcaster RÚV, informs esctoday.com that Iceland's song and performer for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest will be known in a matter of weeks.
The approximate number of entries submitted for the Icelandic internal selection is 106. A jury of proffessional musicians is being put together at this moment and soon they'll be put up with the difficult task of picking Iceland's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004.
According to Jóhanna Jóhannsdóttir, we can expect a public announcement from RÚV on Iceland's song and performer at the end of November. Iceland may therefore become one of the first countries to make their final decision for the 2004 contest besides FYR Macedonia, Albania, Israel and Turkey.
