Our Israeli editor was present tonight in a special video chat interview of Tapuz.co.il with the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest winner, Dana International.
'Sometimes I am thinking of doing Eurovision once again', said Dana International tonight in the interview. 'I got a very interesting proposition from one of the biggest and most prominent countries in Europe, to represent them in the next contest, but there's still a long way to go before that happens,we will have to think about it', she reveals. 'If I ever go to Eurovision again, I want to take it easily, to enjoy the wonderful contest week as much as I can, without all the stress and pressure I experienced in Birmingham', Dana said to her two hosts, Eran and Roy of OGAE Israel.
Israeli singers have already represented other countries in the past: In 1963 Carmela Corren sang for Austria and reached the 7th place whereas Esther Ofarim almost won that year, representing Switzerland; Timna Brauer was the Austrian entrant in 1986 and she finished only 18th in Bergen.
