Yesterday night, thee two girls of the group Honeypies won Lilla Melodifestivalen, the Swedish selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Honeypies, the group consisting of the 10-year old Rebecca Laakso and eleven-year-old Julia Urban, will represent Sweden with song Stoppa mig.

Meanwhile, Sweden started the preparations for the Melodifestivalen 2004, the selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul. The Swedish television expects to have more than 3,000 entries now. Among possible submitters of songs are, if we may believe the rumors, Andrés Esteche, Barbados, Sanna Nielsen, Pandora, Jan Johansen, Shirley Clamp, Lina Hedlund, Pernilla Wahlgren, Östen med Resten, Sarek, the Brandsta City Släckers and Fame.

The almost 10,000 tickets available for the preselections and the final are almost sold out.
