As a result of Sertab Ereners success all over Europe after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, former plans of a duet with Belgian a-cappella group Voice Male were canceled. The band, which has been successful since they were discovered at Eurosong 1999, the Flemish national final, now lost its record deal.

In 1999, Sertab Erener and Voice Male scored a huge hit in Turkey with their single Zor Kadin (pictured above). The song was number one in Turkeys charts for more than 4 months. Plans were made to release another duet called Mecbursun. Because of Sertab's participation at the Eurovision Song Contest, the release of Mecbursun was postponed till this summer.

After winning the Eurovision Song Contest, Sertab's career turned to another direction. Everyway that I can became a hit all over Europe and Sertab now decided to focus on her own career and to put away the release of Mecbursun for good.

The end of the cooperation with Sertab Erener is a big disappointment for Voice Male who, on top of that all, have been dropped by their record company Sony Music Belgium. In spite of this, the 6 men dont hang their heads and already look for other partners in the music industry.
