Nikki Kavanagh, one of the most popular Eurovision singers in Ireland is back with a new single release of her Eurosong pre-selection songs Destiny + Sacred Fortune. The new single can be bought on amazon all across the world. Nikki lost the 2011 Irish Eurovision ticket by 2 points with her pop song entitled Falling.
Ireland is one the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song Contest. 'The Emerald Isle' holds the record of the biggest number of wins thanks to the efforts of Dana Rosemary Scallon (1970), Johnny Logan (1980, 1987), Linda Martin (1992), Niamh Kavanagh (1993), Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan (1994) and Eimear Quinn (1996).
Nikki Kavanagh is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest as she was one of the backing singers of the 2010 Irish entry sung by Niamh Kavanagh. Nikki also took part in the Irish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 where she finished 2nd, only 2 points behind Jedward.
Now, she is back in the spotlight with the release of her newest single entitled Destiny – Sacred Fortune. The song was written by a Greek composer named Georgios Kalpakidis and arranged by Vasilis Gavriilidis. "I just love Gorgi's work! He is so talented & also I feel that working with various nationalities broadens your audience & also your style. Im working with Azerbaijan at the moment!", says Nikki Kavanagh when asked about her collaboration with Georgios Kalpakidis.
When asked what should the fans expect in the future from Nikki Kavanagh, she says : "I have been sent dozens of songs & Im listening through right now, songs from Sweden, Denmark, Azerbaijan, Greece, Turkey & Hungary! All from the Irish nationals, Im very lucky!"
Speaking about the Eurovision Song Contest, Nikki admits that she would love to participate in the Irish national selection in the future. "If I find the right song YES YES YES! I would be honoured to compete in ESC with a collaboration, my vocal & songwriters from Abroad! Im working on something at the moment. It will be hard to beat 'Falling' but I will certainly try hard!".
