The conductor of the first ever Swedish victory at the Eurovision Song Contest, Swedish musician Sven-Olof Walldoff died at the age of 82. He is best known for conducting ABBA's Waterloo at their winning representation at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994.

Sven-Olof Walldoff was the conductor of the 1974 Swedish winning entry at the Eurovision Song Contest, Waterloo by ABBA. The Swedish musician appeared in the front of the audience dressed as the French Emperor Napoleon.

Walldoff was born in 1929 in a small village in Sweden called Lerbäck. He has been active in the music industry starting with 1950 as a record producer, composer and orchestra conductor. He passed away on June 10th in a suburb of Gothenburg.
