The Eurovision website, doteurovision.com, reports today that the Irish broadcaster, RTÉ, has decided to use once again the reality TV series, You're a star, as the national pre-selection method for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul.

You're a star made it's debut on RTÉ this year and gained impressive viewing figures among the Irish television viewers. The winner of the first season, Mickey Harte, managed to secure Ireland's place at next year's grand final in Istanbul, and to raise the level of interest in the contest, among the Irish population.

The auditions process will commence soon, with five audition events planned to take place around Ireland. The show is scheduled to go on air on November 2003. The winner of the series will represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004.
