Earlier this week, France 3 broadcast its Eurovision special entitled En route pour l'Eurovision, dedicated to Amaury Vassili, this year's French entrant. Several former Eurovision stars attended the show as well.

Many veterans were invited to talk about their own experience and to give advice to Amaury: Natasha St-Pier (France 2001), Séverine (Monaco 1971), Corinne Hermes (Luxembourg 1983) as well as Marie Myriam, France's last to date winner (1977). Marie Myriam performed a version of L'oiseau et l'enfant together with Amaury. You can watch their performance below:

Amaury Vassili will represent France in the final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Sognu.
